On December 19, 2011, I spoke with Megan Catlin, Senior Account Executive with the Foundation Financial group. We discussed re-financing my house and lowering the interest rate. I was hesitant about starting this project going into the holiday season. In addition, I was dealing with a group that was 130 miles from my location. In the past, I had done this locally. Megan assured me that it could be accomplished and that it would be done in a timely manner. Based on this recommendation, I decided to proceed with the process. On January 17, 2012, we completed the work for the new mortgage.
The work did not impact the holiday work and everything went smoothly. Megan was the main reason for this process to take place in an efficient manner. The list below details the reasons how this was made possible.
1. I received a clear and detailed list of the information that was required.
2. Megan was easy to contact by phone or email and always responded promptly.
3. When I found out I needed a well test, she looked up the address of the company in my home town and simplified my work on picking up the necessary supplies.
4. In each step of the process, everything was explained in detail and some of documents were sent to me for review. This educational process was helpful during the closing. It was a smooth and easy process and required about one-half the time as previous closings. This was due to the elimination of explanations during the process. I knew most of the numbers and the reasoning behind the paper work because of the prework that I had received.
5. The schedule of events that I was given was implemented on time.
6. At the end, after the closing, I had a few questions covering the process and these were all answered timely and in detail.
In summary, my experience in refinancing was excellent. I know that Megan, with her expertise and knowledge of this work, made this possible. I would also like to point out that Megan, at times, was busy with other clients. When this occurred, other co-workers would take my questions or information and send me the answer or pass it on for review. Everyone that I dealt with at Foundation Financial Group, were very professional and followed through on everything. If I had to do it again, I would call Megan and ask her to do it again.

Upon speaking with Dana Chen, my wife and I decided to go with Foundation Financial Group.
